An analysis of the words used in the English language versions of the PSI Directive and the Member State transposition where the natural language is English assists with monitoring where the emphasis has been placed in the PSI Directive and the Member State transpositions.

The analysis of over 650 words and combination of words also shows the level of language harmonisation which is of importance with respect to the process of understanding of the legal position especially when working in cross border PSI exploitation.

The first edition of the report contains an analysis of the English language version of the PSI Directive, the UK and Irish Republic transpositions. Subsequent releases of the report will include the analysis of the English translations of the PSI Directive from other Member States as they become available.
