UK's Open Data Team 2012 Resolutions
In an article in the Guardian, the UK's Cabinet Office Data Team explains their resolutions for 2012 in moving open government data forward.
Saying that more open data means better opportunities for citizens, the team states its ambitions are basically the same as last year: releasing more data, and being a world leader in open data. The bar the Cabinet Office Data Team is setting themselves is: "By the end of this year, we want to be regularly publishing more open data that is actually useful to people than any other nation."
More concretely this will mean, next to more data releases, taking up a role as co-chair in the international Open Government Partnership, and improving the data.gov.uk platform. Also the findings from the 2011 open data consultation will be released.
