"On October 8 - 9 the ISET-project will organize TravelHack 2011 in Göteborg. This event is the first travel contest where developers in teams will co-create innovative new digital mobile services aiming to support travellers to find more sustainable travel patterns for their everyday travels. The core resources in the competition are traffic and environmental data to develop pioneering new digital mobile services that goes beyond travel planners as support for everyday travel. In addition, the competitors will have access to the life situations and challenges of intended users in their everyday travel. They will also be stimulated to develop prototypes that encourage a shift in everyday travel from energy inefficient means of transportation to sustainable and environmentally friendly patterns of travel." announces the Travelhack website.

Last Friday the timeline leading up to the event was published, and this Friday more information about the prize money and awards, as well as more information on the rules of the competition and how to enter. Teams can enter into the competition from tomorrow.
