Towards a common research agenda
The Interdisciplinary Centre for Law and ICT (ICRI) within the Department of Law at Katholieke Universiteit in Belgium has a one-day workshop that will focus on the legal aspects of geographic data and spatial data infrastructures. There is no financial charge to attend the workshop that will be held on Friday 19th March 2010 in Leuven. Registrations close on 1st March 2010.
The states:
“The goal of the workshop is to get an overview of existing research, to consolidate possible synergies and to develop a common research agenda for the future.
The workshop will be divided into four blocks, each with a particular theme. The four themes that will be addressed are privacy and security, intellectual property rights, public-private sector relationships and competition, and the future of legal SDI-research and practice. For each theme, presentations are given by an expert in the legal domain and an expert in geographic data or SDI issues. These presentations are followed by a discussion, in which you are all invited to participate.”
