Spatially Enabled Government Summit 2009

The Australian region of International Quality & Productivity Centre (IQPC) has announced the programme and supporting details of the Spatially Enabled Government Summit 2009 titled: Mapping the Future of Interoperability, Data Collection & Data Management for Operational Excellence within Australian Government. The summit will take place in Canberra from the 24 to 27 August 2009. The summit includes consideration of the UK Power of Information initiative.

The announcement includes the following facts about the Summit:

  • Over 33 Presentations from international, federal, state, local government and industry professionals.
  • 23 case studies focusing on current best practice and leading-edge strategies
  • 7 International speakers from United States, Canada, United Kingdom and New Zealand
  • 3 Technical workshops on effective data management strategies, maximising the potential of your datasets and integrating business intelligence with GIS
  • 1 Interoperability Focus-Day covering latest global developments, collaboration issues and data sharing initiatives that you highlighted to be the most pressing issue for you in government
