Spanish Cadastre sets the example

The Encuentro sobre Catastro, Políticas Públicas y Actividad Económica - Conference on Cadastre, Public Policies and Economic Activity was held in Madrid on the 1st and 2nd June 2010 under the auspices of the Spanish European Union Presidency. The Spanish Directorate General for Cadastre organised and hosted the conference devoted to the re-use of cadastral information and enhancing economic activity.
The Directorate General for the Cadastre holds the Presidency of the Permanent Committee on Cadastre in the European Union from 1st January to 30th June 2010.
Day 1 of the conference programme first considered the European Policies related to cadastral information and its re-use to stimulate the economy, followed by updates from the European Union Member State members of the Permanent Committee on Cadastre. The Member State updates included

Day 2 of the conference programme considered presentations form the Private sector in two roundtable sessions:
- Roundtable 1: The needs of the Companies users of Cadastral Information
- Roundtable 2: The needs of the infomedia and geographical information manger companies
The European Public Sector Information Platform contributed and participated in the Conference.
