Spain: Joint dialogue helps!

ASEDIE organize the second meeting between government and infomediary companies

The meetings organized by Asedie are intended to provide a forum dialogue between government and business, in which the first can show the information they have available for reuse and the latter can know directly, questions, suggestions and contributions in this regard.

This second meeting, which was moderated by Vice President of ASEDIE, held in the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO), and consisted of 25 private sector participants and the presentations of the SPTO, the National Institute Statistics (INE), the Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs (MARM), and Ministry of Housing.

ASEDIE brings together companies whose object is the use, reuse and distribution of information, shaping the information industry and contributing to provide greater security in commercial activities by implementing global methods to promote the reliability and transparency of transactions stores in the business.

The SPTO described the different types of information with which it works, as patents, trademarks, utility models or industrial designs and how to structure the form on its website. It also highlighted the free information services at its disposal (search for trademarks, patents, inventions and designs, location of records, newsletters ...) and a virtual office from which you can perform many procedures.

Then, the INE established in his speech that one of its objectives key is to "raise awareness and use of statistical information all types of users.
