Simpler Licences needed!

London: 14 May 3008

The Institute of Urban Information has published a report of the policy seminar titled – The Use and Availability of Public Sector Mapping Data in the UK that took place in London on 14 May 2008. One of the questions considered at the seminar was – What do we want from the Ordnance Survey?

The meeting report states that Ordnance Survey licences are on average 40 pages in length and that it has been estimated that simplification could take two years at a cost of £3 million (€3.8 million)!
