The European Commission funded three companies (Publishers) through the eContent programme to develop the PSI-Navigator. It is hoped that this will provide a widely useful resource, in line with the recommendations of the Directive on PSI re-use.

This unique application aims to help both businesses and individuals locate the PSI (e.g., files, datasets, publications etc.), they are looking for from across the European Union member states.

The PSI Navigator interface is available in the 11 major EU languages. Upon entry, you may search across all the sectors using key word(s) (this is the search engine function) or click on the business, geography and environment sectors to search by theme.

The search results are displayed in 3 sections with the first 10 resources found shown in full. Associated sites can be displayed via the next tab and if the directory has been used, then the full directory classification can be accessed via the top tab. Each set of search results can be further refined by using the “search within results” at the bottom of the page.
