PSI Centre stage!

Rotterdam: 17 June 2009

The keynote speeches that opened the INSPIRE Conference 2009 focused on public sector information from thematic perspectives – social statistics and meteorological information and two sector perspectives - a public sector perspective and a private sector perspective. The speeches were streamed live to the Internet and the videos have been published. The INSPIRE Conference 2009 is one of three concurrent conferences taking place in Rotterdam from 15 to 19 June 2009.

The opening plenary session titled: INSPIRE: a European Answer to Global Challenges was chaired by Alessandro Annoni, JRC, European Commission whom reminded the international gathering of delegates that the conference was in fact the 15th European Conference.

Information is power - overcoming obstacles to data sharing, presented by Professor Denise Lievesley, Head of School, King's College London. The video commences at slide 4 and continues to slide 28.
