Proyecto Aporta and ePSIplatform Hosting Meeting for European PSI Community

The European Public Sector Information (PSI) Platform and Proyecto Aporta, the Spanish PSI Information Service, are collaborating to host a meeting for the European PSI Community to be held in Madrid on the 8 June 2010.

The meeting will focus on the economic aspects of PSI covering new business models, economic value of PSI and economic indicators.

Preliminary background information related to the work of the European Commission’s PSI Group Meeting (12 November 2009) on PSI Economic Indicators is published on the ePSIplatform.

  • This is the second of four meetings the ePSIplatform is hosting for PSI community which will focus on issues, strategies, actions and information sharing to stimulate PSI re-use. The first ePSIplatform Meeting was held in Stockholm, 24 November 2009 on the theme: Stimulating PSI Re-use: European Progress (access the Meeting Report).
  • This meeting also follows on from the highly successful PSI meeting hosted by Proyecto Aporta, 9 June 2009 with speakers and 200 participants from throughout Europe. During this meeting, Proyecto Aporta launched the Spanish Guía Aporta sobre Reutilización de la información del sector público (Spanish Aporta Guide on Re-using Public Sector Information) available in pdf and video formats (described by the ePSIplatform as an excellent reference source document for the public sector). Proyecto Aporta makes this resource available to be translated or adapted and used by other European countries.
