Project AbreDatos winners announced

The winners of the AbreDatos Challenge 2011 have been announced. Congratulations!

The AbreDatos Challenge 2011 is the second edition of a 48-hour express competition to develop applications and services based on the re-use of public sector information. It took place the weekend of 7th and 8th of May 2011. The participants developed their applications from zero, organised in teams of up to 4 people. The winners have now been awarded in Media-Lab Prado, Madrid. The winners are:

1st Prize: The Disparate"A Website that shows you the import and export of arms in Spain.

2nd Prize: Here you stay"A Website were you can find your ideal neighbourhood to live in, according to your preferences in relation to the economy, health or the environment, among others."

3rd Prize: AbreLibros"Benefit from the Public Libraries of Madrid: You can log in, make a list of books to read and the application will tell you were these books are available in a public library near you."
