OPSI web site to go!

London: 17 May 2010

The UK National Archives (TNA) has announced the launch of the new information management website today. This is the first step to phase out the Office of Public Information (OPSI) website as reported by the European Public Sector Information Platform in the autumn of 2009.

The announcement states:

“Our new Information management website has been launched today, as we continue to focus on improving our online user experience. We have updated the design, content and navigation of our website to help you find the information you need with ease.

See the new pages at nationalarchives.gov.uk/information-management. Here, you'll find information on our services to archives, our key policies and initiatives and relevant legislation, as well as details of the conservation and preservation we undertake.

All the changes are based on detailed research and testing with our customers. The pages launched today build on the success of the new Education, About us and Records sites launched last year.

Additional information previously found on the Office of Public Sector Information (OPSI) website can now be found here. This includes details on public sector information (PSI) policy, regulation (Information Fair Trader Scheme and complaints), Crown copyright, licensing information, reports and guidance.”
