Nordisk Adresseforum: Danmark 2010
The presentations from the 10th annual Nordic Address Meeting held in the city of Odense, Denmark on the 3rd and 4th June 2010, have been published.
30+ experts attended the Nordic meeting from the addressing legal authorities, municipalities, mapping agencies, postal services, population registers and statistic offices. Seven countries were represented, namely: Denmark, Finland, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland, Norway and Sweden. The representation from local authorities was stronger than in previous years, which proved to be very beneficial for all participants.
This years meeting focused on how to ensure proper dissemination and re-use of address data provided by the addressing authorities - and how to improve a good data flow as well as current and high quality data. It was obvious that all countries face the same challenges on these issues.
As a new initiative the countries delivered a written "country report" on the status and development in addressing since last years meeting. The majority of the country reports are in the English language.
