New Italian Public Administration Internet Guidelines
Rome, 2 September 2011
(by Ton Zijlstra)
The Italian ministry for public administration and innovation has published new guidelines for Italian public administration websites. These guidelins are the result of a public consultation that ended in July 2011. The Piemonte data portal blog has some details.
The guidelines contain several items of interest to PSI re-use and open data provisioning:
- Rules for registering a .gov.it domain name
- A virtual space to discuss practicalities of applying the guidelines with all relevant stakeholder groups
- Underlining the value and potential of making PSI available for re-use
- Using open and interoperable file and data formats
- Recommending Creative Commons licenses, or the CC compatible IODL license.
