The region of Navarra in Spain has its own open data portal for public data sets. Around the data available for the region of Navarra a competition was held, starting last April, for the best examples of usage. The competition was aiming to strengthen the infomediary sector, encourage transparency and citizen engagement, as well as explore new business models.

In two categories prizes have now been awarded, as TcLab reports, a category for applications submitted by businesses, and a category for university students. Interestingly it seems three of the four price winners focussed on the location of pharmacies.
