LiberTIC is an association in Nantes with the objective to promote open government and open government data locally in the city of Nantes. It was created after the open data camp that took place in Paris in December 2009.

On their blog LiberTIC has compiled a list with local open data initiatives they are aware of.

It lists open data initiatives for the cities/communities of:

• Rennes,
• Brest,
• Paris,
• Marseille,
• Montpellier,
• Plouarzel
• Nantes,
• Toulon,
• Bordeaux

In the displayed map, cities shown in green already have taken steps to open up data and at least some data is available there. Cities displayed in yellow are in the process of opening up data. The cities shown in red are considering opening up data.
