Le Film De L'Open Data
French organisation LiberTIC has published a video explaining Open Data to the general public.
The goal has been to help Open Data go mainstream, by making an accessible and fun presentation of the concept of open data that is easy to understand. In place of offering a complete and exhaustive explanation, the choice has been to opt for a simpler approach and to address the general public.
The video is a collaborative production for which the scenario writing was crowd-sourced on-line. The resulting work has been turned into an animation video of 1 minute 42 seconds, with some financial support of Nantes Metropole. The video is available under a free and open license (Libre Art license) and people are encouraged to re-publish and re-use the work. Also if you want to add to the video or re-edit it for other purposes, the files are available upon request.
