Last Days of Public Consultation on Personal Data Protection

We are entering the last days of a public consultation on personal data protection. The Consultation on the Commission's comprehensive approach on personal data protection in the European Union will end 15 January 2011.
The consultation is meant to obtain views on the Commission's ideas - as highlighted in the Communication attached (PDF) to this consultation - on how to address the new challenges for personal data protection (e.g., fast developing technologies, globalisation) in order to ensure an effective and comprehensive protection to individual’s personal data within the EU.
Th EC welcomes contributions from citizens, organisations (i.e., Non-Governmental Organisations, businesses) and public authorities.
