On 20 October the Italian Statistics Day is taking place. As part of this day a workshop is organized on open official statistical data, hosted by Italy's statistics office Istat.

There are three starting presentations on the program

  • on the Italian perspective on open government and open data (Gianni Dominici, of FORUM PA),
  • on European open data initiatives (Stefano Abruzzini, of the EC's Digital Agenda Scoreboard team),
  • on open data and official statistics (Vincenzo Patruni, Istat)

These three more general presentations are followed by show casing the practical experiences of both the open data efforts in the Piemonte region, and in Udine. At the end of the afternoon there is a round table discussion in which also representatives of the open data and open government communities participate.

The full program can be downloaded in PDF, as well as the invitation that contains the information on how to register.
