INSPIRE: Access to data and services
The European Commission has published in the Official Journal of the European Union Commission Regulation (EU) No 268/2010 of 29 March 2010 - implementing Directive 2007/2/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the access to spatial data sets and services of the Member States by Community institutions and bodies under harmonised conditions.
Article 1 of the Regulation states:
“Subject matter
This Regulation establishes harmonised conditions of access to spatial data sets and services in accordance with Article 17 of Directive 2007/2/EC.”
The regulations come into force on the 19th April 2010 - 20 days after publication in the Official Journal.
