Innovative use of PSI

The Roadmap for radical innovations in European transport services (ROADIDEA) project co-funded by the European Commission under the 7th Community Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development has published a visual case study that illustrates innovative uses of public, private and society data and information. The case study is a rolling presentation considers the following applications and information services:

  • PULP FRICTION: MOBILE MONITORING
  • FOG ANALYSIS IN PO VALLEY
  • GOTHENBURG PILOT: SRIS
  • TRAFFIC FORECASTS
  • BICYCLE ROUTE RAINFALL FORECASTS (Cooperative web based bicycle routing database for trip planning, including dynamic weather integration. A ROADIDEA demonstration project)

The rolling demonstration of how meteorological, transport, geographic information may be used along with other data sources to provide innovative future information services providing the current constraints on access to data are addressed was on show at the ROADIDEA stand at the 16th World Congress and Exhibition on Intelligent Transport Systems and ServicesITS in Daily Life.
