IGF5: workshop 120 approved

The written transcripts of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) June 2010 preparation meeting for the IGF5 that will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania from 14th to 17th September 2010 have been published.

The IGF preparatory meeting took place on the 28th and 29th June 2010 in Geneva. One of the tasks of the meeting was to consider the workshop proposals submitted.

The proposed list of workshops includes within the Openness category a workshop proposal titled: Public sector information online: democratic, social and economic potentials (Workshop proposal 120). The European Public Sector Information Platform and APORTA are the joint organisers for the workshop proposal 120.

The transcript states that Workshop 120 has been approved and has been tentatively scheduled for the 16th September 2010.

The following bodies have jointly submitted the workshop proposal:

  1. The Spanish Aporta project
  2. The European Public Sector Information Platform
  3. The Australian auPSI information platform
  4. The KM Africa Information platform
  5. The Information Society Development Committee under the Government of the Republic if the Lithuania
  6. IT for Change
  7. Electronic Frontier Foundation
