The Geospatial SAXONY / GeoINSPIRE'd NATURNET WEBLOG was set up in December 2006 following activities in the NATURNET-REDIME project (NNR) and its DISSEMINATION-ROADMAP [WP-9] by IGN e.V. and its other NNR-Partner Organizations.

The WEBLOG provides comprehensive coverage and information about interoperability, sustainability and usability issues and events in connection with the implementation of Directives 2003/98/EC (Public Sector Information re-use) and 2007/2/EC (INSPIRE - INfrastructure for SPatial InfoRmation in Europe) across European borders and regions.

The GDI-SN.de Geospatial SAXONY - IGN e.V. blog regularly reflects news and other topics from the European Public Sector Information Platform as well as many other key sources. It includes coverage of important European and International news and events. It is an excellent source of timely information and news for the GI community following the issues related to the European PSI Re-use and INSPIRE Directives.
