Find a GP' enable users to fond a GP surgery anywhere in England. It uses the built in GPS on the iPhone to get find current location, but can also locate an iPod Touch in built-up WiFi areas. If a location cannot be determined automatically then facility to add a post code is available.
The app is based on Open Government data provided by the UK's Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) together with the Office for National Statistics Access to Services Team and covers 97.9% of all registered practices in England.
The Data is reproduced under the terms of the Office of Public Sector Information (OPSI) Click-Use Licence 'Location of General Practices (GPs) / surgeries' provided by the Health and Social Care Information Centre

The allows users to search for a surgery around current location, or look for one in another area via a simple place name or postcode search. Distances can be displayed in metric or imperial units and can be configured via the application preferences.
