Exclusive arrangements: Czech Republic
The European Commission (EC) Information Society Directorate has published the results of the exclusive arrangement study commissioned by the European Commission to assess the current position of exclusive arrangements within Austria.
The announcement states:
“"PSI: Identification of potential Exclusive Agreements - Czech Republic".
The study has been finalized in Czech Republic. It has yielded 2 leads to potential EAs. The validation process has resulted in the identification of two potential Exclusive Agreements. A preliminary legal assessment suggests that both of the identified potential EAs may be possibly of an exclusive nature, and therefore void in terms of Article 11 of the Directive 2003/98/EC on the re-use of public sector information (PSI Directive). The first identified EA was found in the Transport information domain, the second one in the Business information domain.
The research covered 26 Czech Public Sector Bodies (mainly ministries and their directorates and information agencies) – and 46 Re-users within the most important PSI Domains in the Czech market (business, geographic, legal, meteorological, social statistical and transport information).
The report and all Annexes can be found here.”
