European Cadastral Systems
The Permanent Committee on Cadastre (PCC) in the European Union (EU) has published the third volume on Cadastral Systems within Europe titled: Cadastral Information System - a resource for the European Union policies. Member State Cadastral Institutions are large public sector information holders and the reports provide an insight into how these bodies and the associated legal systems operate and align with the re-use of Public Sector Information Directive 2003/98/EC.
The PCC press release states:
“These documents highlight the main characters of the different Systems, underlining their primary and emerging purposes, information contents, evolution processes, services provided to public and private users, as well as links with the real estate rights registrations systems and the real estate taxation systems.”
The PCC has in the three volumes published to date considered the Cadastral Systems in the following European Member States:
