The Italian region Emilia Romagna has launched a data portal, dati.emilia-romagna.it. Although currently the number of data sets available is very limited the intention is to quickly bring on-line more. The data will all be made available under Creative Commons BY (by attribution) or CC0 (public domain) licenses.

The site allows people to send in ideas, as well as shows examples of re-use. It also explicitly references the EU PSI Directive, and the Italian implementation into law, as the framework for making data available.
