ECRN (European Civil Registry Network) Project Documentation
ECRN is striving to become the European Service Platform for the Civil Registry with the establishment of an ECR_Platform among the Civil Acts Registries of National Administrations.
The Project offers an innovative solution to run the first secure electronic exchange of acts (birth, marriage, divorce, death) that complies with the Wien Convention 1976 on Multilingual Documents and will represent the interoperability layer among the national systems. ECRN is implementing an ambitious policy of strategic co-operation with key players of the Civil Registry in Europe with the set-up of an experimental system designed to ensure the safe and certain identification of the Civil Acts (birth, death, marriage, divorce etc.) exchange. Together with the co-operation in the public arena, ECRN is active in co-operation with European market technology leaders of the Civil registry and Demographic Services in Europe.
