Dresden GI2010 symposium publishes

The materials from the GI2010 Symposium have been published. The GI2010 cross border symposium 2010 – Sustainability of Inter-Regional Collaboration was held at the Technical University DRESDEN – ZINT – AgroCampus on the 14th and 15th May 2010.
The presentations and associated materials from Day 1 of the symposium provide a rich insight into the use and role of geographic information in the region of the Czech Republic, Germany and Poland and the region of Austria, Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.
The inter-relation of the European Union Directives on the re-use of public sector information and the INSPIRE spatial data infrastructure featured in many of the presentations.
Day 2 of the symposium focussed on three workshops:
- INSPIRE – organisational readiness!
- Cadastral Information in Germany
- Farms of the Future and the role of public sector information in the managing of the whole value chain with respect crop production, harvesting and distribution.
