The open call for participation in the 10th Saxonian GIS-Forum has been published. The symposium will take place in Dresden from the 14th to 15th May 2010. The event marks the tenth annual presentation of the Saxonian GIS-Forum. The European Public Sector Information platform will be participating in the symposium. The Geospatial SAXONY - IGN e.V. blog as a service to the network served provides aggregates of relevant news feeds and this includes the European PSI Platform news. The IGN has maintained over the 10 year period a keen interest in the implementation of the European Union Directive 2003/98/EC and has initiated during that time a number of surveys within different German communities to test the awareness of German PSI re-use stakeholders. The results of these surveys were fed into the ePSIplus Thematic Network (the immediate predecessor of the European PSI Platform).

EUROPE OF REGIONS - 10 YEARS SÄCHSISCHES GIS-FORUM - SUSTAINABILITY OF INTER-REGIONAL COLLABORATION to be held in the framework of the European Community's Directives on "Public Sector Information" and "Infrastructures of Environmental & Spatial Information in Europe" with special local & regional focus on PSI (2003/98/EC), SISE (2003/4/EC) and INSPIRE (2007/2/EC)

OPEN Call for Presentations within INNOVATION Session:

• Keynotes are planned about GI2000-2010 as well on INNOVATIONS and “status-quo” of PSI, SISE, INSPIRE initiatives
• Papers, Posters, PC-Demos and / or Workshops on innovative GDI-Solutions at local, regional and x-border level

• Implementation status of EU Directive on Public Sector Information (PSI-Directive 2003/98/EC)

The closing date for submissions of papers and posters is the 15th March 2010.
