Digital Agenda Assembly and OGD 2011: Follow it On-line!

Brussels/Vienna, 15 June 2011

Two large scale events are taking place this Thursday and Friday. The Digital Agenda Assembly, Europe's great gathering of all those interested in the Digital Agenda for Europe and turning digital information society into reality for all EU citizens is about to start in Brussels. In parallel the Austrian open government data movement is gearing up for the OGD 2011 conference, taking place Thursday in Vienna.

Digital Agenda Assembly

While all of the topics discussed at the DAA are of interest, we'd like to single out the workshop on PSI re-use for you. The SharePSI workshop last month was in preparation for this DAA workshop. The results of the SharePSI workshop are available on-line. Follow the workshop on Twitter (we will be tweeting live from the event with #daa11psi as hashtag), or follow the #daa11eu twitter and video stream (to be made available in the DAA site) and the blog for the DAA in general.

OGD 2011 Austria

The Austrian open government data movement is composed of all stakeholders, which makes for an interesting and balanced mix of perspectives as well as experiences and skills. Whether it is academics, coders, entrepreneurs, semantic web people, civil servants or more traditional PSI re-users like publishers, they are all involved in the community. And it is beginning to show in the results they are achieving. The OGD 2011 Austria conference is the first large scale gathering of the Austrian community, with also many participants from other EU countries joining. Follow the event on Twitter with the tag #ogd2011 and via the conference own @OGDAustria, and have a look at the program to see when to tune in!
