DIAVGEIA project


The “DIAVGEIA” project (law 3861/2010) establishes the obligation to publish laws, administrative acts and other types of acts of governmental and other administrative institutions on the internet, and provides the necessary tools to access them.

All data acquired from the system are available with Creative Commons Licensing - Attribution. This type of licensing means that anyone can use, reproduce or modify the data without any restrictions, except for the obligation to state their source and to explicitly state as different any secondary data, derived from the original data.

L. 3861/2010: “Enhancing transparency by establishing the obligation to publish laws and other acts of government, administrative and local-government institutions on the internet – “Diavgeia” Project and other provisions”

Article 1:

Subject matter of the law

The scope of this law is to introduce the obligation to publish laws, presidential decrees and acts issued by persons and bodies, as mentioned in article 2, on the internet and to ensure wide publicity of these acts.

Article 7:

Availability of Government Gazette Issues

Paragraph 7 of the article 15 of the l. 3469/2006 (Issue No 131/A’) is replaced as following: “7. All issues of the Official Government Gazette of the Hellenic Republic are available without any charge, on line on the web page of the National Printing House. Upon request, the National Printing House can also provide all issues of the Official Government Gazette via digital storage devices. A decision of the Minister of Interior, Decentralisation and e- Government regulates matters concerning the availability of the issues of the government gazette in a way that facilitates the search of the content and any other relevant issue.”
