Three French start-ups in the open data scene have launched together with partners what is to be a monthly series of meetings, called Data Tuesday.

The first event is today on Tuesday 8 November, and following editions will be on every first Tuesday of the month. It looks set to be a good meeting with over 150 people registered to attend.

Topics that the organizers would like to bring together and connect are: Big Data (how to work with massive amounts of data, and related new technologies), data visualization (methods and techniques to present data visually as a way to show and create meaning), and the Open Data Movement (working to get more public data available for re-use).
