During the 15th PSI Group Meeting in Luxembourg several initiatives for data portals were announced, or progress on already announced projects reported.

The representative in the meeting for Portugal reported that the launch of a Portuguese data portal will follow shortly.

Spain is also planning a national data portal to be launched in October.

France indicated the already announced data.gouv.fr currently under construction will be launched by December.

The Netherlands already launched a beta version of a national data portal in January, and is expected to launch a new version of data.overheid.nl tomorrow at the PICNIC conference and festival that is taking place this week in Amsterdam. Also other announcements are expected on which we will report tomorrow.

Together with the portal launch today in Berlin, this seems to be a good week for data portals in Europe.
