Rejseplanen is the Danish organisation that provides online information and data about all public transport in Denmark. It is co-owned by the public transport providing companies.

At labs.rejseplanen.dk the public transport data is made available through an API for re-use.

A competition is now under way to trigger novel and/or better uses of the data of Rejseplanen. Entries are welcomed until January 5th at noon. For each of the three categories there is a main prize of 10.000 DKr, and the overall winner gets 50.000 DKr.

The three categories are Design (ease of use, usability etc.), Technology (use of the API/data in novel ways etc.) and Distribution (making information available in new ways/formats, and in new places). All entries will be judged along criteria of innovation, usability (ease of use), usefulness (target groups, usage situations), and feasibility.
