The Czech PSI Watch initiative (Základní informace o PSI) – PSI Information Service - is back online with an updated Czech language web portal.
Information on the updated portal is comprehensive and includes the latest news on PSI re-use develpments in the Czech Republic and Europe. Some of the main content categories on the portal include the following.

Základní informace o Iniciativě Czech PSI Watch
Neformální Iniciativa Czech PSI Watch vznikla v létě roku 2005 jako dobrovolná aktivita tří organizací reprezentujících veřejný, soukromý a neziskový sektor.
Iniciátorem byla nezisková agentura EPMA a k zakládajícím členů patřila ještě komerční informační agentura ČEKIA a Ministerstvo informatiky jakožto orgán státní správy zodpovědný za transpozici Směrnice do českého práva. Iniciativa Czech PSI Watch je otevřená platforVma, k níž se postupně přihlásily i další subjekty, např. Česká asociace pro geoinformace (CAGI), sdružení Nemoforum, sdružení Zákazníci české justice a sdružení BMI. K iniciativě se připojila další ministerstva (financí, práce a sociálních věcí, vnitra), statistický úřad, řada komerčních subjektů, univerzity i neziskové profesní asociace.
K hlavním cílům Iniciativy Czech PSI Watch patří:
- Vyvolat diskuzi: povzbudit výměnu názorů a spolupráci mezi různými zainteresovanými skupinami poskytovatelů i uživatelů informací veřejného sektoru
- Organizovat semináře: po všeobecném monitorování poskytovatelů PSI na národní úrovni bude Iniciativa organizovat osvětové přednášky i odborné semináře týkající se začlenění Evropské směrnice do národního kontextu.
- Propagovat znalosti: propojením 3 typů zainteresovaných skupin (veřejné správy, soukromého komerčního sektoru a neziskového sektoru) vznikne platforma pro šíření poznatků z podnikatelské praxe a zkušeností z mezinárodních projektů orientovaných na PSI.

The main objectives of the United Czech PSI Watch Initiative include:
- Stimulate debate: to encourage the exchange of views and cooperation between different stakeholder groups of providers and users of public sector.
- Organise seminars: for general monitoring of PSI providers at the national level, the initiative to organise educational lectures and seminars on the integration of the European Directive into national context.
- Promote knowledge: linking 3 types of stakeholder groups (public, private commercial sector and the voluntary sector) there is a platform for the dissemination of knowledge of business practices and experience in international projects relating to PSI.
