Call for Applications 3rd LAPSI Award on Data Portals

The LAPSI-project, on legal aspects of PSI, is inviting calls for its 3rd Award. This LAPSI Award will be given to the candidate with the most user-friendly data portal.

LAPSI is the European Thematic Network on Legal Aspects of Public Sector Information (PSI). LAPSI aims to identify and draft policy recommendations for enhancing Public Sector Information (PSI) re-use (www.lapsi-project.eu).

The LAPSI Thematic Network will present the 3rd LAPSI Award at the 2nd Public Conference on 24th January 2012, in Brussels, at the University Foundation.

PSI availability is crucial for fostering re-use initiatives. This is why the 3rd LAPSI Award will reward the most user-friendly design of a PSI portal in the EU. The purpose of this award is to support any initiative which can be beneficial to PSI re-use policies for moving forward.

Public Sector Bodies, Businesses and Citizens who designed or manage a PSI portal in the EU. See also the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the PDF with the full call for applications.

The names of all applicants will be published on the LAPSI website once the call is closed.

Applications can be send in until 23 December 16:00, with notification of results to the applicants on January 10th, and the Award Ceremony on January 24th 2012.

Previous awards by the LAPSI project were a.o. given to the best dissertation on legal aspects of PSI.
