The 2011 edition of the Apps4Finland competition is under way again. Entries will be accepted until 23 October 2011. You can compete in four categories: ideas, applications, data visualizations, and opening data sets.

There are also special prices for data journalism, making use of the YLE (national broadcaster) data, making use of cultural heritage data, and a Maps4Finland award for the best use of geospatial open data.

You can find forms to enter into the competition in each of the categories at the Apps4Finland home page.

After the submission deadline on 23 October, finalists will be announced on 11 November, with the awards being handed to the winners on 18 November 2011.
