6th EU Ministerial E-Gov Conference
Session on Benefits and Risks of PSI Re-use
On 17 and 18 November the 6th European Ministerial e-Government conference is taking place in Poznan, Poland.
The main theme for the conference is 'Borderless e-Government services for Europeans'.
One of the parallel sessions on the program on 17 November is dedicated to open government data and is titled "Benefits and Risks of Public Sector Information Reuse".
In this session, benefits and risks coming from governments opening up their data resources, providing public data at marginal costs or even for free are discussed. In the light of the planned revision of the Public Sector Information Directive, the discussion focuses on the question which data should be open to guarantee the benefits for societies, individuals and enterprises.
In this 90 minute session, three presenters will give short introductions, followed by moderated discussion.
