The Indian Government, as part of their ongoing actions under the Open Government Partnership has launched the Indian national open data portal. The portal uses the Open Gov Platform which was co-developed with the United States.

The Indian government is about to launch its own public data portal in July, according to this article on The Next Web which talks about the new "National Data Sharing and Accessibility Policy". Maj.
