UK 2nd, Austria 4th. All EU Member state data now available in PSI Scoreboard

The PSI Scoreboard, our benchmark tool for comparing the status of PSI re-use and Open Data in all EU member states has been completed by adding the data for Austria, Czech Republic and the UK. Danish EU conference on Digital Single Market.

Denmark, as the current presidency for the EU, hosted a high level conference in Copenhagen on 27 and 28 February, on the Single Digital Market.

Denmark is gearing up to join the Open Government Partnership (OGP). This multilateral cooperation of some 50 countries aims to promote openness in the public sector, through transparency, citizen participation and technology (amongst others open government data).

Danish government Open Data initiative has uncertain future.

The new Danish geoservice, Geoservices, is available for use. Geoservicen provides API access to geocoded addresses, postcodes, street names, municipalities, police districts, church districts, and voting districts. It also includes a service to transform government geocodes to map coordinates in for instance Google Maps and vice versa do reverse geocoding, which allows developers to use the data more easily in mashups and applications.

Geoservicen is not targeted at 'end-users', so it's not a user-friendly web...

The Danish public sector manages vast amounts of data across all aspects of society.
